Cuba Aspires to Host World Cocktail Championship

The president of the Cuban Association of Bartenders (ACC), Jose Rafa Melem, expressed Cuba's aspiration to host the World Cocktail Championship in 2022, and to ratify the country's options for tourism.
He told a press conference at the Habana Libre Tryp Hotel that the goal is well founded by the tradition of Cuban bartenders.
Melem also referred to the upcoming 22nd Pan-American Cocktail Championship in the Habana Libre Tryp Hotel from August 25 to 31.
The ACC president was accompanied at the press conference by the head of the organizing committee for the competition, Jose Luis Brito, and the maître of the Habana Libre Tryp Hotel, Antonio Benítez.
They explained that the Pan-American event in Havana will be attended by delegations from 18 nations, including two guest countries that aspire to become members of the International Association of Bartenders (IBA), the organization that chairs these meetings. / PL
