Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla highlighted on X, Cuba's position at the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro.

In a thread posted on that social network, the head of the Cuban diplomacy highlighted the call made by President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bemudez for unity among BRICS members to promote a new international order based on peace, equity, and sustainability.

He also underscored the need, as expressed by the Cuban leader at the forum, to build a global system that guarantees the common good, the prosperity of people, and the right to development, in harmony with nature.

"An international order where solidarity, cooperation, and integration prevail to confront global challenges and threats, including the environmental crisis," Diaz-Canel affirmed, highlighted in the foreign minister's post on X.

In this regard, the post emphasizes that the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba called for promoting real solutions to eradicate hunger, poverty, and disease, challenges that—he said—require collective and transformative responses.
