The performance of the Olympic and world medalists trained in Holguín was reflected in the new literary work "Holguineros en el podio", by journalist and historian Calixto José González Betancourt, presented last Sunday at the Alex Urquiola provincial library.

Cuban shooting star Leuris Pupo Requejo and cyclist Daimelyn Pérez Quesada were selected as athletes of the year in individual disciplines in the province of Holguín in the selection of the best of 2024, held last Tuesday in the meeting room of the Calixto García stadium.

Due to the positive results of the season, 10 football players from Holguín have been included in the national preselections, which were recently summoned for international events involving the different categories.
