Americans, Cubans and people of diverse political and religious beliefs from all over the world joined on Monday a call from the Bridges of Love project, which requests President Joe Biden to lift sanctions against Cuba.
The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported that on Wednesday, February 1, the collaborator Alejandro Aguilera Milanés, a member of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Haiti, who had been kidnapped in the city of Port-au-Prince on January 23 by one of the armed gangs operating in that country, was released.

Cuba will be represented at the 4th Forum of Latin America and the Caribbean countries on Sustainable Development, which will be held virtually from Monday 15 to Wednesday 18, an official source reported.

The municipal government of the Cuban city of Holguin on Tuesday disapproved the holding of a demonstration that it described as illegal, whose promoters have ties with subversive organizations which seek to destabilize the constitutional order of the island.
