The Celestino Short Story Prize will return to the city of Holguín from June 15 to 18, under the auspices of Ediciones La Luz, seal of the Hermanos Saíz Association, which will dedicate its XXIII edition to the 110 years of the Cuban poet, narrator and playwright Virgilio Piñera.

The social communicators of the province of Holguín are developing an extensive promotional campaign on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of their Association in Cuba, a date that will be commemorated throughout the country on June 25.

The general secretary of the Cuban Workers’ Confederation Ulises Guilarte invited the people to demonstrate with joy and unity on May Day in all towns, work centers and plazas throughout the island.
