Cuba pays tribute on Monday to Africa Day, an event that commemorates the 1963 meeting in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, where 32 continental leaders established the Organization of African Unity, now the African Union.

In response to the latest accusations made by the U.S. government against Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, the people mobilized Friday morning at the Anti-Imperialist Tribunal in the capital to raise their voices in defense of the homeland, the country’s leadership and national sovereignty. The rally in Havana was presided over by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

The Mexican ambassador to Cuba, Miguel Ignacio Díaz, reported that this is the eighth shipment of aid for the Cuban people and emphasized that the action reflects President Claudia Sheinbaum’s commitment to supporting the Cuban people in the face of the economic blockade imposed by Washington.
