A project that includes several recreational areas and historical contents is currently being promoted in the surroundings of the Historic Complex of Biran, in the municipality of Cueto in the province of Holguín, the birthplace of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, who was born on August 13, 1926 and died on November 25, 2016.

With the participation of computer specialists and fans of this branch in Holguín, the Latin American Festival of Free Software Installation (FLISOL), considered the largest event in Latin America in terms of free technologies, was held online on Saturday in this province sponsored by the Union of Informatics of Cuba (UIC), the Cuban Free Software Community and the Young Club of Computing and Electronics.
