
Cuba has announced a ministerial restructuring with the goal of reducing bureaucracy and optimizing public administration, according to an official statement.

In a meeting with the country's leadership, President Díaz-Canel Bermúdez said that "in the exchanges that have taken place, the Cuban side has expressed its willingness to carry out this process on the basis of equality and respect for the political systems of both states, for sovereignty, and for the self-determination of our governments"
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel affirmed that the largest of the Antilles is a country of peace that promotes solidarity and cooperation, but assured that the nation does not fear war. In an interview with the US publication Newsweek, the head of state maintained that the Caribbean island does not represent a threat to the United States, “much less an unusual and extraordinary threat as has been claimed,” and that there is no excuse for the US to resort to military aggression as a means of resolving bilateral differences.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum praised the bilateral agreement allowing Cuban doctors to provide services in Mexico, where they are, she emphasized, a great help.
