The Minister of Economy and Planning Alejandro Gil Fernandez announced a series of steps to speed up the recovery of the island's economy.

The health intervention with the anti-Covid-19 Abdala vaccine candidate began today in the province of Holguín with health workers, students of Medical Sciences and other vulnerable people exposed to the transmission of the disease in the territory.

Cuban Public Health Minister Jose Angel Portal Miranda informed that the country is now under the community transmission phase for COVID-19 given the high contagious impact by the virus and the increase of its incidence levels over the past 15 days, add to this the circulation of highly contagious variants of the SARS-CoV-2.
