The strengthening of Cuba's economy has drawn the attention of local authorities during its analysis at the Council of Ministers, local media reported on Tuesday.
The new 2023-2024 school year opened its doors this September 4 to more than 143,000 students in the northeastern province of Holguín, with the assistance of more than 37,000 education workers.

In 2023, the Cuban population continued to trend towards aging and natural decline. During the period, around 90,300 births were recorded, the lowest figure in the last six decades.
