Improving sanitation and water supply to communities are among the priorities of the investment plan of the Provincial Delegation of Hydraulic Resources in Holguín for this year, as part of the priorities of that sector for the benefit of vulnerable populations.

The reservoirs in the province of Holguín are currently at 70% capacity due to a prolonged drought that prevents the recovery of their sources and in fact prolongs the cycles of this service to the population.

Achieving the necessary productive start in the Holguín municipality of Mayarí based on the strengthening of agriculture and the optimal use of the investments associated with the East-West Transfer  undertaken here continues to be the object of analysis in this territory, to where the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, arrived this Saturday.

Yolanda Rivas, Second Secretary for Political and Cultural Affairs of the Canadian Embassy in Cuba, visited the city of Holguín in eastern Cuba. Rivas held meetings with government authorities and political and mass organizations in the territory.
