The repair of essencial equipment for urban sanitation in Holguín stands out among the projects of the LX Anniversary of the October Revolution Sugarcane Combined Enterprise, known as KTP, included in the territory's sanitation programs.
These actions are part of programs aimed at improving street cleanliness and waste management in the area.
María de los Ángeles Mora Alméciga, a specialist at the entity, explained that repairs depend on the degree of equipment deterioration, and the process is developed as an alternative service to diversify clients and industrial activities.
She highlighted the deteriorated state in which many pieces of equipment arrive at the workshops, requiring almost total interventions, which increases production costs and delay their return to the community.
Mora reflected on the importance of avoiding social indiscipline and effectively managing the use of these resources to prevent damage and extend their lifespan, highlighting the community’s commitment to maintaining these resources.
This Company is involved in other projects related to the rehabilitation of equipment in sectors such as energy, rail transport, tourism, and the nickel industry; and in circular economy strategies focused on the construction of resources for social and family use.
KTP, part of the iron and steel industry, modifies traditional processes to achieve benefits in its production programs through logistical efficiency, technological innovation, and resource savings, with an economic and social impact. (Source: ACN)
