Holguín will be one of the destinations chosen in Cuba by the new Canadian airline Off We Go (OWG), which will operate with the Hola Sun and Caribe Sol agencies of Havanatur in that country, specialized in promoting trips to the Caribbean island.

Elizabeth García Oro, director of the Havanatur T&T Oriente Norte Branch, said that on Thursday, June 30, is expected to be the inaugural flight of OWG to Frank País International Airport, where it will arrive twice a week from Montreal and Toronto.

The OWG is a recently created airline, which will work with a fleet of three Boeing 737-400 acquired in early 2020, according to information on the CubaSi website.

The start of these next flights to various Cuban air terminals will increase the flow of travelers between the two nations and reafirm Canada as the main issuer of tourists to the Island.

García Oro added that the operations of Sagua Services & Travel, as well as that of the rest of the charterers with direct flights from Miami to Holguín, are scheduled until October 28, 2022, with two frequencies weekly each.

The "Sagua", with the inaugural flight of the World Atlantic aircraft N807TR to the Frank País International Airport, marked the resumption of these air travel from the United States to this northeastern province, interrupted since March 2020, after measures imposed by Donald Trump's administration.

That charterer has been progressively followed by four others, with two flights a week each, while another two await confirmation of permission to fly from the northern country to the Holguín air terminal.
