There is no shortage of solidarity for the first hospital inaugurated by the Revolution in eastern Cuba. This time, Chilean Miguel Sanhuesa, who lives in Canada, arrived in the city of Holguín with supplies and ozone therapy equipment.

Holguín will hold the 2025 Traveling Congress on October 27 and 28, aimed at contributing to the improvement of the specialty of surgery with a multidisciplinary approach.

Although there is no active transmission of arboviruses in the province of Holguín, there are cases in most of the 14 municipalities. Therefore, vigilance is being increased throughout the territory, and the population is urged to visit health institutions if they experience signs of fever and other symptoms, to be evaluated by specialists and receive appropriate treatment.

The Center for Research and Rehabilitation of Hereditary Ataxias (Cirah), the only one of its kind in Cuba, prioritizes social work to improve care for patients with ataxia, especially those with Spinocerebellar Ataxia type II (SCA2).
