The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, will participate virtually in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which will take place on May 27, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported on its website.
President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez thanked countries which have taken a courageous, dignified position, denouncing exclusions from the Summit of the Americas, and stated that he will not attend the meeting, in any case.
Cuba joins today in the celebrations of Africa Day. "Africa, origin, and destination. We commemorate today, May 25, Africa Day. A continent that constitutes a point of origin, a common destiny, and of all hope," tweeted Cuban President Miguel-Diaz-Canel.
