Cuban Minister of Public Health José Ángel Portal Miranda denounced Thursday that the U.S. government has tried to hinder Cuba's efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, with the extreme tightening of the blockade and the imposition of numerous extraterritorial sanctions.

Organizations and citizens from several sectors in more than 50 countries have confirmed the weekend of activities in the global caravan against the US blockade to Cuba, promoters of the mobilization said on Friday.

Representatives of Cuba and the European Union (EU) will hold today the 3rd Dialogue on Unilateral Coercive Measures, on virtual format due to the isolation measures imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
