The tourism industry in Cuba is offering a diverse range of events for 2025 related to the MICE sector.

Enrique Arango, director of the National Center for Seismological Research (Cenais by its Spanish acronym), said today that there have been two perceptible aftershocks of the earthquake that occurred early this morning, the largest of them with a 3.8 magnitude on the Richter scale.

An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 on the Richter scale shook eastern Cuba at 1:00 a.m. on Monday, December 23, and according to preliminary data from the National Seismological Service it was located about 35 kilometers (km) southwest of the town of Chivirico, head of the Santiago municipality of Guamá.

The leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raúl Castro, on Wednesday called on the lawmakers of the National People's Power Assembly (Parliament) to solve problems with unity.
