Cuba: 10 days without deaths, 11 with no critical cases of Covid-19

The national director of Epidemiology for the Ministry of Health of Cuba, Francisco Duran, stressed that there have been no deaths in the country for 10 consecutive days, with the number of deaths still at 86.
 
There have been no critically ill patients for the last 11 days, Duran highlighted during his usual press conference on the course of the pandemic in Cuba. Duran regretted that five patients are in serious condition due to Covid-19.
 
Another encouraging result of this day is that no child was diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country in the last hours. Two hundred and fifty-one underage patients have recovered from the disease so far, out of 271 who tested positive.
 
Duran specified that 54 percent of the confirmed cases with Covid-19 in Cuba turned out asymptomatic at the time of the medical analysis.
 
He reiterated the need to take all measures to avoid contagion, since the virus is highly infectious, and that 15 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last hours, eight men and seven women, of whom 11 turned out asymptomatic, all of them Cubans.
 
He also reported of six medical discharges on Monday, for a total of 2,240 recovered from Covid-19 in the country. Most of the Cuban provinces and the special Isla de la Juventud municipality are in the second stage of recovery from the pandemic, after the positive results over more than three months of fight against the epidemic.
