Comprehensive Review of TURNAT 2019 Program

The Cuban News Agency (ACN) added this Wednesday that TURNAT 2019 includes an extensive tour of mountains, rivers, waterfalls, swamps and the underwater world, from September 24 to 28, especially the Ciénaga de Zapata swampland.
This event covers the Ciénaga in the western province of Matanzas, and the central Cuban provinces of Cienfuegos and Sancti Spíritus, under the baton of the Ecotur Travel Agency, which brings together most of the nature and adventure tourism activities on the island.
This Wednesday's report specifies that organized in eight groups, delegates will begin the tour in Matanzas, with stops at the Bermejas, Soplillar and Enigmas de las Rocas trails, the Korimacao Artistic Ensemble, Guama and the Crocodile Breeding Area.
They will also visit the Museum of Playa Giron, the Cueva de los Peces, the Victoria and Charcoal Routes, as well as the Cuban Parrot Conservation Station.
From the evening of the 25th to the 27th of September, TURNAT delegates will remain in Cienfuegos, where they will admire the natural beauties of the territory.
Tourism delegate in Cienfuegos, Jose Enrique Gonzalez, reported that El Nicho waterfall is one of the landmarks of the territory, which last year welcomed more than 1,800 tourists.
Bird watching in the Guanaroca lagoon, appreciating the diversity of plant species in the Botanical Garden of Cienfuegos and a tour of the Yaguanabo river and Valley, are some of the proposals of the event.
He indicated that they will exchange with theater group Los Elementos and the Project Arte en el Campo at El Jovero farm, and will appreciate the first rural gallery of the country.
He added that diving in the Villa Guajimico dive center, Faro Luna, kayaking, as well as snorkeling around the coral barrier reef, are also part of the program.
In Sancti Spiritus, TURNAT reaches Trinidad, with a tour of the Valle de los Ingenios, a visit to the Manaca Iznaga tower and the Lomas de Banao ecological reserve.
During the event organizers will present new tourist products and nature routes, adventures and ruralities of the central south of Cuba, in addition to offering expert talks. /PL
