Solidarity with the Five Heroes and their relatives has been strengthened in the last few days, and the Cubaminrex website is reporting activities held in Argentina, Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, Kiribati and Sri Lanka.

The Argentinian Committee for the Release of the Cuban Five sent a letter to US ambassador to that nation Vilma Martinez, requesting humanitarian visas to Olga Salanueva and Adriana Perez to visit their spouses in the United States.

Mountaineers who climb Aconcagua in the Argentinean province of Neuquen have added their voices to the fight to gain freedom for five Cubans held prisoner for more than ten years in the United States. Pablo Fernández, who organizes treks up the Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the western hemisphere, said that some 250 postcards are being sent from the province of Neuquen to US President Barak Obama demanding the immediate release of the Cuban Five.
