Grenadian Prime Minister Thanks Cuba for Training Healthcare Professionals PDF Print E-mail

Grenadian Prime Minister Tillman Thomas thanked Cuba for its efforts in training young people from poor countries in the region to become healthcare professionals. Thomas, who is currently in Cuba on official visit at the invitation of Cuban President Raúl Castro, toured the International Mario Raudilio Fleitas Faculty for Caribbean Nurses in the province of Matanzas
Grenadian Prime Minister Tillman Thomas thanked Cuba for its efforts in training young people from poor countries in the region to become healthcare professionals.

Thomas, who is currently in Cuba on official visit at the invitation of Cuban President Raúl Castro, toured the International Mario Raudilio Fleitas Faculty for Caribbean Nurses in the province of Matanzas where hundreds of young people from St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Jamaica and Grenada are currently studying.

Grenadian Prime Minister Tillman Thomas also highlighted the two countries’ long tradition of cooperation, citing the recent joint project that built the Granada International Airport.

Faculty Dean Dunia Salas Marín briefed Thomas about the institution that was founded in 2006 with the objective to train nurses from around the region with a high professional level and sense of social responsibility.
