U.S. Novel Prizewinner Chosen as Member of Cuban Sciences Academy

Logo_Academia_de_Ciencias_de_Cuba.pngPeter Courtland Agre, who is the US biologist and the Chemistry Nobel prizewinner professor in 2013, is the new member of the Cuban Sciences Academy.

According to the local Cuban News Agency, the decision about granting him that category was taken by the Cuban academicians as part of their recent full meeting where it was reminded that category is only granted to experts who do not reside in the national territory and have contributed to the scientific development, outstandingly.

Peter Courtyard is the director of the U.S. Researching Malaria Institute of the Public Health Bloomberg School of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore that was founded on February 22nd, 1876. / Radio Rebelde
