Holguin Electric Workers to Support Recovery in Villa Clara

Photo: Courtesy by the Electricity CompanyMembers of the “Calixto García” contingent from the Holguín Electric Company, departed from the province Tuesday, September 13th headed to the central province of Villa Clara to support recovery of electricity service after the path of Hurricane Irma.

The contingent, headed by Héctor Lugo Graña, general director of the Holguin Company, is composed of more than a hundred workers, including linemen, service and multipurpose vehicles, diesel generators, cooks, project executors, engineers and communications group.

María de los Ángeles Hidalgo Morejón, director of the company's Integral Customer Care Center, said that recovery efforts in the territory will not stop.

The eastern province was 87.22 percent recovering from electricity service, one of the sectors most affected by the effects caused by the meteorological phenomenon that struck the Caribbean nation between last Thursday and Sunday.

Hidalgo explained that there are still customers without electrical service, but the company is working in the solution of these affectations.
