The White House's Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney contradicted the official positions on immigration policy when talking about government despair for more immigrants, press media stood out on Friday.

Mulvaney told a crowd at a private meeting in England on Wednesday evening that the Trump administration 'needs more immigrants' for the US economy continues growing, according to an audio recording of his statements issued by the Post.

These comments differs from the government's aversion and persecution of the undocumented, especially Trump and his political adviser Stephen Miller, they are working on drastically reducing both legal and illegal immigration through a series of policies aiming to close US border to foreigners.

Mulvaney was thorough and stressed that the Trump administration wants these foreigners to arrive 'in a legal way' to the country, indicated daily La Opinion.

The official told hundreds of people in Oxford Union that despite President Trump's 'anti-immigrant' reputation, his government wants to attract more qualified foreigners as Canada and Australia do, stood out the journal.

Mulvaney's criteria are aligned with the plan boosted by Jared Kushner, son-in-law and advisor to the US president, who presented similar arguments by advocating to give priority to highly qualified immigrants, but reducing benefits to those seeking to reunite with family members, something US officials call 'immigration in chain.'

The US federal immigration plan has the approval of Congress and, according to experts, it is unlikely to be in force in a short time, set out the Californian daily.

Trump's term has been remarkable for intensifying the persecution of immigrants despite the fact that they contribute over 60 billion dollars to the US economy and their workforce is vital in American agriculture, in addition to contributing billions in taxes, according to official data. / PL
