U.S. collapse as world´s great power has already begun

The downfall of the United States as a great world power has already begun, Argentine political scientist Atilio Borón said today, when he took the floor at the 12th International Congress University-2020.
'The US is not what it was,' he said, recalling the US President Donald Trump´s inauguration speech: 'Let's make America great again.'
Boron drew attention to how in line with this fall, predicted by Washington's own circles of power and, above all, by economists, some other emerging powers such as Russia and China, considered as a danger, began to emerge.
Amid such a situation, Boron said, White House´s allies are increasingly volatile and hesitant, especially after Trump's stances, breaking some agreements such as the Paris agreement or the Iran deal.
As evidence, according to the Argentine academic, is that despite its aggressive measures the United States has not been able to overthrow the Cuban Revolution, or the Nicolás Maduro administration, or even the Sandinista Government in Nicaragua.
Atilio Borón agreed on the need for events such as University-2020 to contribute to the knowledge of university students about problems that affect humanity, which can endanger the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. / PL
