The landscape of eastern Cuba shows the images of a wild and simple beauty, the mountains, the plains and the coast, with their natural riches and the zest added by the people in their daily walk.

The flowers and fruits are the expression of the fertility and color of spring, although in Cuba there is talk of the effects of two other very marked seasons during year, the wet and the dry.

Cuban youth play an important role in the society and have been present in the different historical moments of the Revolution. On April 4, the Union of Young Communists celebrated its 59th anniversary.
