U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio continued his personal war against Cuba on Wednesday by announcing that Washington will impose visa restrictions on several government officials from Cuba, as well as from African countries and Grenada, for their involvement in contracting Cuban medical services.

The American airline United will discontinue its only direct flight to Cuba, which is currently in operation, from September 2nd, due to seasonal variations and the most stringent travel restrictions.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo declared the removal of the statues of Fidel Castro Ruz and Ernesto Che Guevara from the Encuentro monument, built on the site where the revolutionaries met and which also symbolizes the close friendship between the peoples of Cuba and Mexico, to be illegal.
