Jamaica wants to strengthen ties with Cuba to further develop the local agricultural sector, the government of this Caribbean island reported here on Wednesday after an exchange on this subject.
A total of 253 Haitians, including 31 children and 61 women, who were traveling by boat in an attempt to migrate to the United States, landed at midnight Sunday at the port of Kasasa, in Cayo Coco, Jardines del Rey, to the north of Ciego de Avila, where they are being taken care off at an educational center in the province.
Every year, Cuba’s 10,931 schools and 40 universities commemorate Educator’s Day in honor of the formative work of its teachers and professors and their dedication to prepare the new generations.
