Cuba is currently making progress in recovering the damage caused by Tropical Storm Idalia, which became a hurricane after crossing the country's western region on Monday evening.
Ambassador and special representative to coordinate the Cuban presidency of the G77 and China, Pedro Luis Pedroso, reported on the social network X, that he held a meeting with ambassadors of the Group for an update on the summit of heads of state and government to be held on September 15 and 16 at the Havana Convention Palace with the theme: "The current challenges of development. Role of science, technology and innovation".
Cuba today strengthens the recovery work started yesterday, after the definitive northern departure of the now Hurricane Idalia, which hit the west region of Cuba.
The General Staff of Cuba's Civil Defense (DC) issued a hurricane warning for Pinar del Río, Artemisa, and the Isla de la Juventud special municipality, due to the proximity of Tropical Storm Idalia.
