Cuba’s consumers prices increase

Cuba's Consumer Price Index (CPI) grew by 2.33 percent in August compared to the previous month, the National Statistics and Information Office (ONEI) reported on Friday. According to a report published, the indicator that allows knowing the average variation experienced by the prices of a basket of goods and services, representative of the population's consumption in a given period, stood at 233.03 compared to the benchmark year of 2010.

Cuba: Sustainable buildings, an unpostponable priority

A series of research conducted in the last 20 years to evaluate the influence of architectural and urban design on the indoor thermal environment and energy consumption in Cuba’s climate conditions, especially on non-residential buildings such as hotel management and service facilities, institutions and schools, to name a few, won one of the 78 national awards of the Academy of Sciences 2021, in the category of Technical Sciences.
