The biofactory for plant reproduction through biotechnology in the province of Holguín contributes to food sovereignty programs by multiplying varieties for short-cycle crops.

The current water availability in the province of Holguín, the problems associated with its supply cycles and the actions carried out to improve the situation were topics discussed on Thursday in meeting of the Cuban Deputy Prime Minister, Inés María Chapman Waugh, with representatives of the Water Resources system of the territory.

Technical and Vocational Education (ETP) in the province of Holguín strengthens the instruction and vocational guidance of students through productive linkages with state entities and new forms of management as a premise for working life.

In order to evaluate the work results from the systems and subsystems implemented in the province, the comprehensive inspection visit to the Holguín Provincial Prosecutor's Office began on Tuesday in this eastern city and will run until September 13.
