Ecotur in Holguín extends options to natural and historical destinations

The Cuban travel agency Ecotur in Holguín, specialized in the realization of ecological tourism, is offering excursions to natural and historical destinations in the eastern province and surrounding regions, both for the national and international market.
The tour of Baracoa in Guantanamo, the oldest city in Cuba founded in 1511 by the Spaniard Diego Velázquez, which stand out for the production of chocolate and mountain ranges, rivers of crystalline water and beaches is among the offers.
Delvis Almeida, a sales specialist in Ecotur, told the ACN news agency that this offer includes the three-day stay at the La Esperanza estate and visits to Baracoa, to the first toll that existed in the country called Paso de los Alemanes, the Loma de la Boruga, the Yumurí River, the Bay of Taco, as well as a farmer's house to learn about the chocolate making process.
Santiago de Cuba is also among the provinces included in the options promoted by Ecotur-Holguín with two different routes, which include places of historical and sentimental value such as the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Charity of El Cobre, the Moncada Barracks and the Santa Ifigenia cemetery.
On the other hand, the second route centers all the activities of the day in La Gran Piedra mountain range, a mountain with a rock of more than 60 thousand tons on top, which is surrounded by other interesting sites such as the Birds of Paradise Botanical Garden and the La Isabelica museum to enjoy the archaeological landscape of one of the first coffee plantations located in southeastern Cuba.
Among the preferred in Holguín there's is Salto del Guayabo, a natural space located in the municipality of Mayarí with various attractions, including the waterfall of about 120 meters high, the specialist added.
The Cuban travel agency Ecotur promotes ecological tourism through activities related to nature, which include visits to relatively poorly altered rural environments where there is a development of rural communities and their cultures in order to maintain sustainability and preservation of enviroment. / ACN
