This strategic alliance seeks to connect the scientific and academic talent of the neighboring province. Also with the needs of the business sector and the productive capacities of the region. Among its fundamental pillars, the agreement prioritizes specialized training, applied research, the incubation and acceleration of projects. As well as effective collaboration among the different economic actors in the region.
Within this framework of territorial integration, the University of Holguin and the University of Las Tunas strengthened their bilateral ties. Through a Framework Agreement between their respective Faculties of Economic Sciences. The document was signed by Roberto Cleger, Dean of the Holguin institution, and her counterpart in Las Tunas, Yudisbel Echemendía.
Moreover the bilateral agreement includes a broad agenda for joint work, encompassing student and faculty exchanges. Applied research in key areas such as economics, finance, and tourism, and the co-direction of master’s, doctoral, and undergraduate theses. Likewise, both universities will enhance the organization of scientific events and continuing education programs. Thus consolidating higher education’s commitment to the nation’s sustainable development.
