Holguin: More Than 163, 000 Students to the Classrooms

The 2018-2019 school year will begin in Holguin with an enrollment of more than 163,000 students, therefore authorities from the sector in each municipality increase efforts to guarantee a successful start and development of teaching programs.
According to the Provincial Directorate of Education, this school year the territory will register a greater incorporation of students into the classrooms compared to the previous school calendar, while working in the organization of educational centers and the distribution of the school materials.
Although there are still some problems to be solved, mainly related to the lack of teachers, authorities from the sector are implementing alternatives such as the employment of retired teachers.
Maintenance entities are also working in those schools with constructive problems that will gradually be resolved as part of the measures implemented in each territory to guarantee the good the start of the school year.
