The coastal town of Gibara hosts the Biology and Tourism Diversity Workshop, BIOTUR 2018, on July 19 and 20, a nature tourism event in eastern Cuba that will gather around 100 tour operators linked to the different travel agencies based in the province of Holguin.
The agenda includes theoretical events, tours and excursions through different sites of historical, cultural and tourist interest of the also known as the White villa of the crabs and other tourist facilities of Holguin.
The presentation of the audiovisual Fidel, Artificer of Revolutionary Tourism, the conference Gibara, Heritage and Tourism and the documentary Gibara the White Villa, are also among the activities planned for BIOTUR 2018.
Participants will have three options to choose during the two days of the event: nautical and speleotourist crossing with visits to several sites, such as the tobacco factory and the natural viewpoint of Yabazón hill; visit to the Tanque azul, which includes, among other attractions, the crystalline cenote of Papaya, bathing and snorkeling; and the third choice is the Camino a río de Mares, which foresees arrival at the Maniabón Cársicos hills, navigation along the Cacoyugüín river and interpretation of the riparian biota values, among other offers.
The meeting will close on the 20th, in the afternoon, with a commercial round between the tour operators and travel agents and the launching of BIOTUR 2019, said Maikel Robelt, official of the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism in the province of Holguin.
