Holguín ready for May Day celebration

The Cuban Workers' Federation (CTC) in Holguín is finalizing preparations for the upcoming International Workers' Day, with a series of social and union activities to honor the celebration.

This year´s celebration is dedicated to the 22nd Congress of the CTC, the 86th anniversary of its creation, and the 25th anniversary of the concept of Revolution expressed by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

Since last March, the workcenters in the territory have been developing activities aimed at economic recovery, such as training workshops, and support events for food production and the sugar harvest, among others.

Serrano indicated that mass marches will be held in the Calixto García Íñiguez Revolution Square in the main municipality, as well as in the remaining 13 municipalities, and also rallies will be held in 54 people´s councils located in difficult-to-access areas.

The CTC in Holguín brings together more than 145,000 workers in all spheres of production and services, who will gather at the main parade, led on this occasion by the Public Health Union.
