The province of Holguín extends attention to vulnerable neighborhoods, through a group of programs that include both improving the quality of life and health conditions in those localities.
Among these projects, it stands out the repair of homes and medical offices, the connection to aqueduct and sewage systems, new job offers and deliveries of hygiene modules, among other facilities, extended to the 85 communities classified with that category.
As part of these actions, the Institute of Territorial Planning and Urban Planning (Inotu), facilitates resolutions, expansion permits, property titles, among other alternatives in high demand in the construction processes.
César Patterson Rodríguez, territorial delegate of that organization, told ACN that it also highlights the improvement of the habitat and public spaces of these settlements, distributed in the 14 municipalities.
It is also planned to increase the construction of state and self-made housing in urban settlements, without affecting land use and taking into account current laws.
Currently, simplified sewage systems are already installed in five communities in the provincial capital, including Pueblo Nuevo and Sanfield, characterized by their efficiency in waste evacuation and the few resources required for their construction.
In parallel, cultural projects focused on preserving native traditions and increasing exportable items are being developed for the benefit of vulnerable populations in the eastern territory, the third most densely populated in Cuba. (Source: ACN)
