A delegation made up of 10 delegates from the province of Holguín participates in the Third International Congress of Basic Secondary School taking place from November 20 to 23 at Havana´s Convention Center.

Olguisbel Mariño Fernández, head of Basic Secondary Education in the eastern province, said that the delegation is composed of school directors, coordinators and teachers from almost all municipalities, most of them linked to forms of scientific improvement, such as doctoral programs and master's degrees.

Hence, the fundamental topics of the northeastern territory of Holguín in this event are related to research on the transformations of the current basic secondary school, and issues that affect the students of this educational level.

The event, which for the first time takes place on an international character, constitutes a space for socialization and exchange of experiences between national and foreign delegates, which allows raising the quality of teaching and the processes developed in education and contributes to working with higher quality in the third educational improvement .

“For a province that has 105 educational institutions and an enrollment of more than 31,400 basic secondary school students, one of the largest in the country, the exchange of good educational practices will allow the contextualization of educational models showing results in all the efficiency indicators in other territories,” Mariño pointed out.
