Holguín organizes first mini-industry fair

The fair “Potenciamos lo local”, will be held for the first in the city of Holguín from November 23 to 25, with the aim to promote the opportunities and experiences of the mini-industries and new economic actors for the development and use of native resources.

The event, to take place at the Expo Holguín exhibition center, will be an opportunity to facilitate alliances in the expansion of goods and services offered to the population.

It will also contribute to promoting the productive chain, import substitution and the growth of the province's exportable items, through proposals to preserve culture and traditions and have a positive impact on community development.

The event, called by the governor of the province Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, will also include theoretical spaces for exchange and training on economic and other topics of interest in accordance with the objective of the fair.
This edition is part of the activities for the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution and Economist's Day on November 26, in honor of the appointment of Ernesto Che Guevara as president of the National Bank of Cuba, on the same date in 1959.

Holguín has more than 350 companies, including state, private and non-agricultural cooperatives, and implements an extensive program to promote the use of local resources in areas such as food production, the use of renewable energy and services dedicated to expanding offers to the population.
