Holguín welcomes presentations of “La Colmenita”

The play “La Cenicienta según los Beatles " and the musical "La Cucarachita Martina" by the children's theater company La Colmenita, will be presented today to the public as part of the program of activities of the 17th Gibara International Film Festival (FICGibara ) taking place in this coastal town.
“La Cenicienta según Los Beatles” will be presented at the Cine Jibá in La Villa Blanca de los Cangrejos, in the north of the province of Holguín, as a staging that demonstrates the link between theater and music, while "La Cucarachita Martina” will be presented at El Almacén, with a show full of choreography and energetic performances.
After the presentation of this musical at the Bariay Cultural Center in the city of Holguín La Colmenita once again demonstrated its ability to energize classic works of children's literature with adaptations that have touches of modernity.
In statements to ACN, Carlos Alberto Cremata, general and artistic director of the Company, expressed the happiness of being able to get closer to the communities and demonstrate the usefulness of the company by fostering chemistry between children and those who represent them in the works and expressed the satisfaction of being able to add extra activities to the FICGibara program.
He stated that the revival of " La Cenicienta según los Beatles " offers a successful cinematographic approach within the Film Festival due to its theatrical production that allows one to rediscover the songs of the renowned group, since the texts are written based on them and constitutes a performance of many keys for the intelligentsia.
This Friday, the children's group will travel to the municipality of Moa where they will perform along with La Colmenita from that territory mining city.
La Colmenita is a theater company founded in 1990 to project ethical values from the cultural point of view, as well as being a space in which children, as protagonists, can create and enjoy art. (Source: ACN)
