Holguín: Governor and deputy governor elected

The delegates of the 14 municipal assemblies of People's Power in Holguín elected deputy Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera as governor, and Yunia Pérez Hernández as deputy governor, a responsibility that they will carry out for a period of five years.
Hernández Aguilera obtained 98.94 percent of the valid votes, while Pérez Hernández was ratified in her position by 94.79 percent of the voters.
The Celia Sánchez theater, in the city of Holguín, which became a special electoral college for delegates from this city, was attended by Ernesto Santiesteban Velazquez, a member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in Holguín, and Arelis Guerrero, also a member of that national structure of the political organization and its provincial bureau, among other top officials.
Yanet Pupo Estupiñan, deputy appointed by the Council of State, presented the candidacies and the biographies of those proposed by the President of the Council of State, in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Law in force.
After the vote was carried out, the First Secretary of the Party in Holguín, held an exchange with the members of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power in this eastern territory about the challenges to face to move the province forward, mainly with actions to increase food production and improve the well-being of the Holguín’s residents.
