Holguín gets ready for general elections on March 26

The province of Holguín carried out the dynamic test this Sunday in the 2,383 polling stations of the province in order to guarantee the proper development of the national elections on March 26.

Caridad Ramos Sánchez, president of the Electoral Commission in the province, explained that early in the morning the electoral authorities positioned themselves at their posts to review the incidents that could affect the development of the electoral process, such as the lighting of the polling stations, the placement of the patriotic symbols and the availability of furniture, among other conditions.

As of nine in the morning, it began this exercise aimed at training in vote counting, checking the communications system, documentation and securing logistical resources, among other actions.

According to Ramos Sánchez , the 24 special polling stations that will operate in the province are located in terminals, airports, hospitals, tourist facilities and hotels to make it easier for voters to go to the polls on the 26th, even if they are visiting the province.

She noted that Holguín has 135 polling stations located in the Turquino Plan, 82 of them on roads of difficult access, with two and three communication variants, with which it was also specified in order to avoid incidents on the day of the 26th.
