Aimed at expanding opportunities for export and import by the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC), a business round was held in Holguín with the participation of foreign businessmen and Cuban representatives of non-state forms of management, as part of the agenda for the National Crafts Fair taking place in this eastern city from December 4 to 13.

Eduardo Alfonso Sablón, independent creator of the FCBC in the province, said to the digital newspaper ¡ahora! that they presented some of their productions in the meeting, as example of the actions that can be taken in the country with the aim to contribute to import substitution.

The artisan proposed grating designs for the overflow channels of swimming pools in the hotels of the territory, especially Brisas Guardalavaca.

The pieces are manufactured with highly resistant national material, capable of withstanding the chemicals in water and offer a 20-year guarantee, in addition, they are utilitarian, decorative and ecological, he added.

On the other hand, the first export of products of the FCBC subsidiary in Holguín to be carry out through the Nuevos Negocios group will be in charge of Cuadernos Papiro and will consist of the preparation of an art-book that will pay tribute to the artist Rafael Mosqueda from Baracoa, said Manuel Arias Silveira, director of the publishing house.

In the meeting, various marketing offers were announced in areas such as advertising, marketing, sale of technological equipment for printing activities, raw materials and creativity, as well as goods and services legitimized in the national and international market, mainly in Spain, Peru and Cuba.
