Holguín medical brigade ready to travel to Matanzas

A medical brigade from the province of Holguín is ready to travel to Matanzas willing to provide services where necessary in that province, where on Friday afternoon an electrical discharge hit a tank that stored crude oil, which caused a flarge-scale fire.


Dr. Deysi Guerrero Guerra, Acting Deputy Director of Medical Assistance, said that the group is made up of surgeons, caumatologists, intensivists, clinicians, anesthesiologists and nursing personnel with extensive experience in catastrophe and contingency tasks.

For his part, Dr. Pedro Luis Roca Peña, director of the Provincial Blood Bank (BPS), confirmed that the center has enough plasma if it becomes necessary to send it to that province or to Havana, where those injured by the unfortunate accident are attended.

In his Twitter account, Dr. Julio Yamel Verdecia Reyes, Provincial Director of Health in Holguín, send a message to the highest authorities of the country and Matanzas expressing the willingness of workers in the sector to comply with the sacred duty of being where it is most needed.
