The province of Holguín reports new autochthonous cases of COVID-19 after about 60 days without transmission, which indicates the importance of how individual and collective responsibility in the new normal cannot be neglected, as there is the danger of contagion.

According to a report on Thursday from the Ministry of Public Health there are three patients, all residents in the municipality of Urbano Noris, two 34 years old women and a man aged 64, who have 20 contacts, all under epidemiological surveillance.

The three new cases are related to a previously confirmed foreign traveler, who is hospitalized at the Fermín Valdés Domínguez military hospital of Holguín, as well as the three new positives to the COVID-19, totaling 14 patients currently hospitalized in the health institution.

Since September 21, Holguín had no transmission of SARS-CoV-2, hence the need to call for reflection on everyone to avoid a re-outbreak in the province, so prevention measures, including the wearing of face masks is obligatory.

On the other hand, travelers from abroad who go to their family’ homes have to comply with the quarantine in isolation at the place, avoid visits and go out on the town.
