Exhibit on dance “Cada vez más cerca” opens in Holguín

The exhibition “Cada vez más cerca” (Increasingly closer), by local photographer Wilker López, opened on Wednesday in the vicinity of the Calixto García central park in the city of Holguín.
The exhibit includes pictures of the work Imaginem et Similitudinem, by choreographer Yoel González and performed by the Holguín dance company Codanza .
The photographs ahow the strength, vitality and skill characteristic of Codanza, but mainly the union between human beings, the closeness that we all want to feel again”, said the artist to ¡ahora! local newspaper.
“At the present moment cultural spaces have restricted access due to the pandemic, so I intend to bring dance to the streets, so that dancers are seen on stage once more through a different proposal”.
According to López , the photo exhibit includes printed messages of encouragement, motivation and inspiration by local writers Moisés Mayán, Delfín Prats, José Luis Serrano, Luis Yuseff, Lourdes González, Gilberto González Seik, Elizabeth Soto, Ronel González and Zulema Gutiérrez.
“Cada vez más cerca”is an option inserted in the agenda of the Provincial Directorate of Culture for the current summer season, which enables the exchange and consumption of good art made in Holguín.
