The Provincial Summer Commission together with the authorities of the province of Holguín have designed a wide program of cultural activities for the closing of the summer season in the northeastern region of Cuba.
The great cultural event that will bring together the festivities will be the Popular Festivals of the main municipality, which will begin on Thursday, August 29, with a space for children in the Major General Calixto García Stadium and the playgrounds. In these areas, various gastronomic, recreational and cultural offerings will be made available to children and their families.
The festivities will begin with a parade of Comparsas of Holguín from the Calixto García park to the Camilo Cienfuegos Plaza, where a show will be held that will be made up of popular groups from the territory.
The festivites will begin on august 30 in four open areas: Pedro Díaz Coello, Los Chinos, Emilio Bárcenas and the Major General Calixto García Stadium; while the closed area will be located in the Camilo Cienfuegos square.
Each area will have a commission in charge of its operation, in addition to representatives of the Government and the Party, while economic actors such as Mypimes, the Meat Company, agriculture, Tiendas Caribe and CIMEX will provide gastronomic offers in thew kiosks designed for the sale of products.
Commerce and Gastronomy, in connection with different organizations, plans to guarantee variety in the offers that complement the recreation of families in various spaces.
The working premises of leisure time since last July have been directed to consolidate open spaces in squares, parks and communities with recreational options accompanied by recorded music, quality gastronomic offers and others for general enjoyment, with the participation of the new economic actors.
Healthy recreation and taking advantage of the opportunities proposed by these offers from the Provincial Summer Commission are key to turning the end of this vacation period into a time of celebration for the population.
