Cuba and Russia sign a joint declaration at the BRICS foreign ministers’ summit in Rio de Janeiro to counter unilateral Western sanctions, consolidating strategic cooperation and denouncing neocolonial practices affecting Global South nations. 

The Cubana de Aviación airline will resume flights between Cuba and Germany in November of this year, after a hiatus of over 20 years.

At the meeting with governors and the mayor of the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud, the meeting focused on complying with the municipalities’ food budget, reviewing the contracting of agricultural products in line with current production methods, and thoroughly evaluating the plans.
