2nd International Culinary Workshop to be held in Cuba

Understanding, encouraging and assuming the values of Cuban cuisine as history, tradition and modernity is the goal of the 2nd International Workshop Cuba Sabe 2020, to run from tomorrow until January 11, at the Grand Iberostar Packard Hotel in Havana.
Sponsored by the Paradiso Cultural Tourism Agency, along with the National Council of Cultural Heritage, the Cuban Culinary Federation and the Associations of Bartenders and Sommeliers, the event aims to lead the defense of the national cuisine, its constant updating, as well as the diffusion as a valuable treasure.
The main objective of the workshop is to appraise Cuban cuisine as a heritage and to contribute to the creation of a file that validates this criterion, Master of Science Lis Cuesta Peraza, manager of Academic Services Paradiso and president of the organizing committee, explained.
This edition will focus on the artistic decoration of the dishes in its presentations, will emphasize the influence of the Italian food in the Cuban one and will be dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the National Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro, based in Havana.
Representatives from Cuba, Mexico, Italy, the United States and Spain, among other countries, will attend the event, which includes workshops, conferences, tours, tastings and concerts, the organizers announced. / ACN
