Cuba: Fidel Castro Díaz-Balart Dies

Cuban Doctor in Sciences Fidel Ángel Castro Díaz - Balart, who had been treated by a group of doctors for several months due to a deep depression, attempted against his life in the morning of February 1st.
As part of his treatment, he had initially been hospitalized and then continued treatment as an outpatient during his social reincorporation.

At the time of his death he served as Scientific Advisor to the Council of State and Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba.
 
During his professional activity, dedicated entirely to sciences, he received relevant national and international recognitions.
His funerals will be organized by family decision.
